Although it likely won't make any difference, the answer is that you are
using an older version of GNUbg. The latest version that should work
with 10.6.8 OS/X on Intel (32Bit) can be found here:

http://gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg-1_03_000-mac-i386.dmg

The latest versions can be found on the downloads page:

http://www.gnubg.org/index.php?itemid=22

Important that you open the DMG and drag the GNUbg application to the
/Applications folder. It will not run properly from anywhere else. The
first time you launch it, you should wait a few minutes for it to load.
