I don't use posixcheck and I rarely use clang so I'm probably not the right guy to ask. But it does seem odd that Gnulib doesn't pass its own posixcheck compilation mode, as that makes posixcheck look like it isn't ready for prime-time.
Just introducing several classes of warnings would not solve the problem, IMO
It was going to be my first suggestion, so I guess this underscores the fact that I'm probably not the right guy to ask.
