I can't reproduce the problem on FreeBSD 14.5 (2026-09-08) i386. If the problem
occurs only on 14.0 I suggest not worrying about it, as 14.0 through 14.3 are
no longer supported.

says FreeBSD 14.4 is supported through December, so if someone wants to try the test
on 14.4 i386 and it fails and we have time before December, then it would make sense
to look into the problem there. In the meantime upgrading from 14.x to 14.5 should be
uneventful.
