gstep-base (Foundation)
The major changes this week are a lot of modifications for
Windows (Cygwin and MINGW) support, and a fairly wholesale
removal of old non-OpenStep code from the base library.
Various inclusions of header files tidied up.
NSBundle modified to contain private method for portable detection of the
path to an executable file.
Fixes for WIN32 support with MINGW and windows DLL support
Many header updates for MINGW support.
Removal of obsolete (non-OpenStep) code - 29 old class source files
removed along with their associated header files. Various remaining files
updated to remove any dependencies on the old code.
gstep-gui (AppKit frontend)
This week we have fairly large improvements in RTF text handling and in table
views, along with a variety of minor bugfixes of course.
NSDocument/NSDocumentController code tidied and save methods rewritten.
NSFont - some support for glyph layout added.
NSTypesetter, NSSimpleHorizontalTypesetter - skeleton implementation added.
NSCell - copying fixed to copy all cell attributes.
NSTableView/NSView/NSScrollView/NSTextView - automatic scrolling improved.
NSTableView etc, implemented double-click actions.
RTF support improved - Fred kiefer says
'It is possible to read in the OpenStep specification now!'
