this may just be a duplicate of 

  bug #15988: resized text view wraps at original size

see attached.

The gorm file from which this is trimmed has gone through a chain of
conversion from the macosx original.  It is entirely possible that I have
recreated this window from scratch in this time (but I would expect that to
have been with the current release of gorm [debian 1.1.0], and I can't seem
to reproduce this effect now), or there may be some implication for
interoperability with macosx.

I will have a go at creating a test in macosx and converting it across to see
if I can reproduce, and if not I'll try to look into the genesis of this bit
of gorm :-)
