Follow-up Comment #17, bug #19352 (project gnustep):
I had a look at your patch and it is too low level to keep it in GNUstep. We
would depend upon the internals of cairo. What you could do is lobby for the
inclusion of a similar extension into cairo. Using that code would be fine for
GNUstep.
