Great, then I suggest: "When searching recursively, skip any file or directory whose base name matches GLOB; the base name is the part after the last slash." I don't think anyone is going to complain that a directory is a file, because it's pretty common in talking about the file system to think of them as different things, and many standard utilities treat them differently. -- Web: rrt.sc3d.org
