Update of bug #57510 (project groff):

                  Status:                    None => Confirmed
             Assigned to:                    None => gbranden
                 Summary: not all TTY output controls simultaneously available
=> not all TTY output controls simultaneously available (nroff needs -P)

Follow-up Comment #1:

I noticed this, too, and it annoyed me.

I also someday want to ask Colin Watson if he'd accept a patch to man-db
establishing a flag there to pass options through to the *roff post-processor,
just like -P. (Unfortunately, -P is already taken in the man option
namespace, and that namespace is _crowded_.)

That way, people would be able to drive grotty exactly how they want by
aliasing "man" to "man --post-processor-options=-i", for instance.
