I've pushed (c30821d767974c0a5e7220c0e5a65dc963785dc5) a little fix to not use
uchardet if the input is stdin. I believe this will fix the immediate failure
originally described in this bug, so I'm closing this one and opening a new
bug to find a definitive solution.
