Follow-up Comment #15, bug #55081 (project groff):
My last paragraph is wrong (comment #12).
Both suggestions stop spacing at the first trap (stated in the
explanation of request '.sp').
The attachment "55081.ipsum.me" contains a sample,
where a trap does hinder '.bc' to go to the next column.
The spacing (as used in macro 'bc') must be continued after the ".bc"
to hit the footer trap.
