Summary: Further clarify vertical-coordinate origin Group: GNU roff Submitter: barx Submitted: Mon 23 Jun 2025 10:01:09 PM CDT Category: Core Severity: 2 - Minor Item Group: Documentation Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon 23 Jun 2025 10:01:09 PM CDT By: Dave <barx> Bug #60820 clarified the documentation to explain how the "|" operator doesn't position from what one might intuitively think of as the top of the page. But this top-of-page caveat applies to more than just the "|" operator. In an email thread a couple years ago (http://lists.gnu.org/r/groff/2023-01/msg00015.html), a user ran into difficulty positioning an image at page top using PDFPIC/PSPIC. The explanation about troff's vertical-coordinate origin perhaps could be worded more generally. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?67235> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
