That said, I'll also note that others _have_ requested such a warning,
including at least:

* Branden (in opening this ticket; further, in
http://lists.gnu.org/r/groff/2022-08/msg00217.html, expanding the idea to
warning about anything printed off the page)
* Bjarni (in opening the duplicate bug #67317)
Additionally, the email thread cited in comment #1 only exists because groff
does not offer such a warning.
