looks reasonable to casual inspection and appears to work on OpenBSD
8.0-current as far as this ticket goes.
This does not mean that the build works on OpenBSD just yet (one fatal error
remains in master related to gnulib_m4/gnulib-comp.m4, the other related to
etex(1) dying with non-zreo exit status). Both kill the build. I don't fully
understand either of them yet, but have horribly hackish workarounds for both,
and then the build limps over the finish line. But those are off-topic in
this ticket, i need to further investigate them, then report elsewhere.
