Hello, I try to boot an operating system which is on a CD-ROM.
Notes that I can boot from CD without GRUB (by configuring well the BIOS), but It is not safe and boring. I prefered to have a menu entry (protected by a password if necessary) in GRUB for booting a system on a CD. I use yet GRUB for launching many operating systems based on GNU/Linux (Debian 3.0, Mandrake 9, ...) that I have installed on my two hard discs, and it works well ! So, I've small experiencies of using GRUB. My problem is that I don't know how to name a cd-reader (on IDE). Is it possible to 'chainload' to a CD with GRUB ? If not, is there any hack that I can try to do that ? Otherwise, I wish to suggest this feature for future plans. Cheers, -- phonon PS : I'm sorry but I don't know well english language (my native's one is french). If any of my words is not understandable, please, tell me about. _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
