Details:

Tried compiling and installing under Cygwin on Win2000 machine,
but ./configure command fails with following message : 

checking whether objcopy works for absolute addresses... no
configure: error: GRUB requires a working absolute objcopy; upgrade your
binutils

Even after compiling and installing latest binutils (2.26.1)
the error message is the same.

config.log file is attached .
