Indeed it does. I only see splash images working on those varieties of GRUB
who've been patched to properly support them. And that's only on a few
varieties of operating systems. FC isn't one of them, and the only Linux I
know of is SuSe, Slackware may, but I do not.

It will work with the current varieties of Solaris for Intel.
