Hello! This sounds familiar, however I (we) do need to know more about your server's operating system. Can you tell us what distribution you chose? And of course if possible if you've made any back up copies the menu list file.
Incidentally there are boot disk images available. They can be obtained from the Alpha GNU server at ftp://alpha.gnu.org in the gnu/grub directory. Simply select the one for version 0.97 and then write to a blank floppy, (3.5 sized disk) of your choice with the dd command using these instructions, #dd if=<boot disk name> of=/dev/fd0 , where <boot disk name> becomes the file you've downloaded. -- Gregg C Levine [email protected] "The Force will be with you always."
