Details:

I am running Fedora 19 -
Linux 3.9.9-301.fc19.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Jul 4 15:10:36 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64
x86_64 GNU/Linux

Yesterday I did a 'yum update' and among other things a new kernel was
installed. I think it is 3.9.9-302.fc19

On rebooting, I see:

  GRUB loading

  error: symbol 'grub_term_highlight_color' not found.
  Entering rescue mode...
  grub rescue> help
  Unknown command 'help'

As it seems to be a syntax error within grub, when I do

  grub2-install /dev/sda

from the install DVD (rescue mode), I just get the broken grub.

I would like to install either the GRUB from the DVD or the previous GRUB, but
haven't been able to accomplish either task - if applicable.

Chances are you have the problem fixed by now. Instructions as to how I might
install the fixed grub would be helpful

Thanks much
