Follow-up Comment #5, bug #46014 (project grub):
I regret to report that the patch referred to by comment #3, when applied by
itself on top of 2.02-rc1, doesn't fix this bug for me.
I went to some length to purge previous versions of GRUB from the PV guest, in
an attempt to avoid further red herrings. Yet the trace information from "xl
dmesg" is unaffected.
