If the '# Generated by resolvconf' top line comment in the /etc/resolv.conf file keeps disappearing, it means that another software than openresolv is modifying the file. We'd need to find which software is doing that, and hopefully it can be told (via a configure flag or similar) to go through openresolv for this, like NetworkManager could. What kind of system are you using? A GNOME desktop, or something more minimal? What is the network service you are using? -- Thanks, Maxim
