Whatever task list you were looking at is a bit out of date. (Shantanu
Goel dropped off the scene a few years ago and I'm not surprised you
haven't been able to get in touch with him.)
The most recent work related to device drivers has been done by OKUJI
Yoshinori <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and myself. Last I heard from Okuji,
he was not much interested in doing anything more with device drivers.
My work has been making use of the University of Utah's OSKit for device
drivers. See http://www.cs.utah.edu/flux/oskit/ for information about the
oskit, and check the archives of this mailing list for my previous postings
about OSKit-Mach.
If you can be more specific about what kinds of driver-related projects you
are interesting in working on, then I'm sure we can suggest some particular
things that would be helpful for the Hurd.
