The spirv-llvm-translator was mentioned as a trigger for the build failure
of sysprof with 'stray' characters in the C headers. I had rustc included
originally but that build was so lengthy I removed it from the sequence.
There isn't a long time gap between the haskell-weigh and haskell-yesod-form
builds noted above, perhaps this sequence is a better focus.

Are there any other builds between these two ?
When was it?

I was referring to the  haskell-weigh and haskell-yesod-form packages but I can see from the package build log that these were built consecutively and why it might indicate where the trigger occurred.

Is there a log that I can access that shows the sequence of builds that are
run on the buildd?
https://buildd.debian.org/status/recent.php?a=hurd-amd64&suite=sid
shows it

This is very helpful. Is it possible to determine when boralus was rebooted? Given that information, I can try the build sequence from boot to the point of failure in a scripted loop.

Note that "building" is also, and for an ample part, "installing all the
build dependencies", all that inside a chroot with eatmydata.

I have a script that builds packages using sbuild and eatmydata that does what you mention above.

Cheers,

Mike.
