I find that gwhois/whois.c has: "Copyright 1999 by Marco d'Itri <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>." while gwhois/Makefile.am has: "Copyright (C) 2005 Free Software Foundation, Inc." A mismatch between files is OK, but since Marco d'Itri has assigned whois to the FSF, it should be OK to change this. I also find that inetd/inetd.c attaches a "copyrighted by FSF" notice above the "copyrighted by University of California" notice. Is the same template to be followed while modifiying any "The Regents of the University of California" copyrighted file? We don't have a particular style for this, so it doesn't really matter. But all files should bear a proper GNU GPL copyright notice.
