Sorry for not replying to your message, but it must have falled through the cracks. Could you please remind me what error this was? Could you try debugging the issue using gdb instead? strace, while a nice tool, is not very useful for debugging.
Hi Alfred, it appears as if my last post of January last remained unanswered... Every now and then I'm trying the new version (inetutils-inetd_2%3a1.6-3_i386.deb) but still get the same error. I took a 'strace' of both versions which might help detect where the error comes from and I would be happy to send them on request.
