Observe that "configure.ac" only stipulates "AC_PREREQ(2.59)". The leap to "2.67" is still questionably large. Ok, 2.59 it is. I don't have an opinion about it, personally I would prefer the latest, but if others find that cumbersome then we can use whatever people wish to use.
