No. The right solution is to say
\begin[noquote]{lilypond}
...
\end{lilypond}
or to say
\parindent 0pt

I disagree. The size of the lilypond box hasn't changed. Only the
indentation of the surrounding text is respected. Additionally, you
can now say
\begin{center}
\begin[noindent,noquote]{lilypond}
...
\end{lilypond}
and similar things which were impossible previously.
