And this is exactly the problem with the default LilyPond output - small white triangles. See the attachment in my previous post: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-lilypond/2009-05/pngbNqzog15lv.png Perhaps we could add a patch to the beam-scoring algorithm that would penalize configurations that lead to small white triangles?
