My vote is "yes," too. But I don't think the thin shape heads are necessary, and are not there by design, but by lack of design. In fact, including them might suggest there is a 'tradition' of thin shape heads, but I think it's really a question of what previous engravers were willing to do. Nobody, for example (as far as I know)
went back and changed the round notes in 4- or 7-shape books to thin shapes.

I will, however, send a note to Karen Willard (who designed the font a lot of people
use) to see if she thinks differently.
