Thanks, Carl. I'm not sure there's ever been a printing of music in the
Funk shapes
that are as pleasing as those in the Denson book; the Rudiments I pointed
to [1] have
the shapes on page 10; I think the whole notes there hint at what the right
aesthetics would be (that is, in the style you've been working on for
Denson and
Aiken). The new shapes are si, re and do; fa, so, la, mi are as in Denson.
