The point of asking James's opinion is that he has, more than anyone else
in the world, typeset music in
Funk shapes. So, he understands the design challenges. Any comment I made
about aesthetics of the
Funk typesetting refers to earlier editions, where open sol differs from
the other shapes. No flame war
needed.
