So what would be a good summary for this bug?
It seems there are two issues, and maybe the bug should be split:
1) The beam created by autobeaming belongs to the staff of the note
*after* the autobeam ends.
The workaround here is to use manual beams instead of autobeams.
2) Dynamics are misplaced with cross-staff beams
See measure 4 of the revised example.
