and for the record,
The code as of version 2.13.55 does *not* assign each voice to its own midi
channel.
Instead, each uniquely-named voice is stored in its own Track in the midi
file, which is enough to let "midi2ly can recreate the original input" so
the bug remains "fixed" but fixed differently than described at the top of
this issue.
