I propose, then, that we downgrade this to `high' with a @knownissues in the docs suggesting manual beams and a NOT_SMART convert-ly rule telling people to check for this at staff changes.
I'm still gonna think about how to remove these alien grobs from covered_grobs_ in the beam collision engraver, but it'll take me some time to crunch that & I'm slammed over the next few days.
