There's (not surprisingly) lots of .html files - most of the website except the docs does appear to be there. I'm starting to wonder whether the xref-map files are actually needed. The bulk of the work of the website build is done by mass-link.py, so it's probably worth looking at what that does before attacking extract_text_filenames.py.
