I've just been checking this, and in essence this already happens. When texi2pdf runs, it always (AFAICS) writes a log of progress to DocName.log in the build/Documentation/out-www folder. If you have a problem in future, please look there and see what you get. If this does give what's needed, we'll have to think of a way of pointing people to look there.
