OK. More info. The msvcrt error appeared in 2.15.10 (as reported in the
initial report) and disappeared between 2.15.18 and 2.15.21. So that's
almost certainly not the bug we should now be chasing. It may well have
been masking the current bug, though, since it causes an error before the
Errno 22 error. FWIW I've tried lots of versions of lily-book back to
2.13.30 and all fail for a variety of reasons. The least problematic of
these comes from early versions and is now:
