Comment #16 on issue 2263 by [email protected]: Reimplement chord repetition
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=2263
Pushed as 940309ad0e403897f556c8253e69708121b91765 to staging. Somewhat to
my surprise, I got part of the bounties already. Since this turned out to
be slightly more than a bugfix, namely a complete reimplementation also
touching music expression display, some callback work, some followup bugfix
work, several iterations through extensive documentation amendments that
change the previous "incomprehensible magic that may sometimes break"
behavior to rather clear and well-defined one with added functionality and,
for example, allowing repetition of fingering info inside of tabulature,
but giving it only once in the regular score...
Deep breath.
If q is a worthwhile feature to you, consider a bonus. Previous
not-all-too-tricky code will continue to work as before. There is no
strange interaction with \relative for previous use patterns. Explicitly
using \chordRepeats for added functionality _has_ interplay with \relative,
but that is documented clearly with straightforward workarounds and
concerns additional functionality not present before.
