there is no version 2.11 to download from

the  next available series is 2.10...

but then somebody would have to tell how \put-adjacent has been used in
those days - unless we are supposed to download the docs for that period,
too.

so I decided to make a blind conversion:

1. set language to de (in the local environment variables)
2. open a shell
3. set lang to verify language is german
4. run convert-ly -f2.10.0 -t2.15.33 test4.ly

.. and then I get the english messages:

convert-ly.py: Processing `test4.ly'...
Applying conversion: 2.11.2, 2.11.3, 2.11.5, 2.11.6, 2.11.10, 2.11.11, 2 ...
Not smart enough to convert \put-adjacent argument order.
Axis and direction now come before markups:
\put-adjacent axis dir markup markup.
...

conclusions and questions?
