This time I tried with current git (commit 436824b8):

and I still get

I'm on a GNU/Linux box, running `autogen.sh' with
`--disable-optimising', and compiling with g++ 4.6.2.

Regardless whether this useful or non-sensical input, there shouldn't
be a failed assertion.
