I think I found a bug. Please have a look at the following example:
\version "2.17.28"
{
R1 |%1
R1 |%2
r2 r4 r8 r16 r32 r64 r128 r128 |%3
}
For no good reason (IINM) there is an automatic line break after the first full
measure rest. The same happens in the first example on
http://www.lilypond.org/doc/v2.17/input/regression/musicxml/collated-files#t_g02-_002e_002e_002e-rests.
