Hm, but why are there line breaks after every R1? e.g.:

R1*12
r2 r4 r8 r16 r32 r64 r128 r128

The measures sure have approximately the same length but it looks strange to 
me!  Full measure rests don't really need that much space?!

(In this case I would normally use \compressFullBarRests but sometimes it's 
more appropriate not to compress rests…)

I'd rather prefer to avoid this solution.  I'm usually quite happy with the 
default spacing of LP.  Just not in this case…
