Actually there are masses of duplicate node names across two manuals.
For example, compare LM 1 with NR 1 & 2. You'll find the
following are node names in both:
Pitches
Accidentals
Clef
Clefs
Tuplets
Ties
Rests
Time Signature
Bar lines
Grace notes
...
with lots more elsewhere.
Do all these cause problems for the translations?
Yes and you'll see it especially on fully translated manuals like the
spanish ones.
After running make doc you can see all the wrong nodes by looking in
the log specific of each manual, e.g.
Documentation/es/notation.splittexi.log
I really do not want
to try to invent discrete names for all these nodes, especially if
the real
problem for the translations lies elsewhere. So for the time being I
shall
withdraw my "will do".
I can understand. We should fix the bug rather than changing the node
names because of the bug.
Unfortunately, AFAIK the maintenance of lilypond documentation tools
has not had much love in the last two years.
