It is quite simple: in parallel music, zero length music (those are generally settings) in all parallels with the same main time should be iterated off irrespective of grace time before material with non-zero duration (grace or main) is considered. This is not supposed to be difficult. It just somehow manages anyway. -- David Kastrup
