There is some debate on what to call the Gnu Mailtuils MH program suite in MH-e. Since you are all involved with Mailutils I thought that you should read about what is going on regarding the naming convention from witin MH-E and comment make comments if you wish.
After collecting your comments I will forward them to the mh-e list or you can mail your comments there directly if you wish. (I think).. to mh-e-devel AT lists DOT sourceforge DOT net This is the name for setting MH-E to use Mailutils MH variant. It is currently: "mu-mh".... though the manual and a doc string had it wrong.... I suggested to change the name to "mailutils", only. And one suggestion to change it to mailutils, but leave mu-mh for backwards compatibility. I also make a suggestion for gmh (Gnu Mail Handler) not liking long strings myself and believe that calling it Mailutils is like naming America the World, which it is only a small part. But, in context with it being a MH-E start up variable it makes sen se..... Please let me know if you feel strongly about the matter or have better ideas.. Good catch. I also see mailutils in the docstring for the mh-variant option. Actually, I think it might even be better to update mh-variant-mu-mh-info and change the variant member of the alias from mu-mh to mailutils to match the documentation. I think the term "mailutils" would be more descriptive to a naive user than "mu-mh". Any opposed? Darel, could you please try this (mh-e.el:801) and let me know if it works for you? I'm assuming that it should change the content in the drop down list for the mh-variant option from mu-mh to mailutils too. > Since this is regarding the manual, I don't know whether to file a bug > report or not. Please wander over to http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=13357&atid=113357, create a new bug, and specify a Category of Documentation. Thanks! (Although if the consensus says to update the code to match the documentation instead, then I'll flip the Category.) - -- Bill Wohler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.newt.com/wohler/ GnuPG ID:610BD9AD ------- End of Forwarded message _______________________________________________ Bug-mailutils mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-mailutils
