The server knows nothing about the underlying mailbox structure. It's the library that fiddles with it. Consequently, if it happens, it should also happen when deleting messages using any other tool. Therefore, please try opening any mailbox with the 'mail' utility from mailutils, delete any single message from it, save the mailbox, quit and then check if the same change occurs. Its better to make a copy of the original mailbox so that you can just diff it against the changed one. Regards, Sergey
