hmm. Arguing takes time. I'm working on several programs, with time reserved
for ncurses (usually) on Saturdays. On ncurses, my current focus is
refactoring divergent approaches to the Windows port. That takes several
steps. A one-step patch to change thousands of lines doesn't happen here.

This coming weekend, I'll have less time available (looks like Saturday's
preempted); I don't expect to complete that refactoring immediately.

Once that's done, I'll investigate PuTTY, to determine when various features
actually worked, and document those. After that, I'll pick through the
various things you've suggested, to see which are improvements, and which
are preferences. For the latter, those which interfere with existing use
are something that others can customize.
