There were 11 commits in two recent weeks. At least one of them intoduced
a bug (fixed recently). That suggest re-examination of the remaining
ones. Besides, several security-related fixes are waiting in the queue.
That is good, but most users (including us) use published stable releases. The
original post implied that there was a build problem with tar-1.35. That does not
appear to be the case. For internal package issues we prefer to wait until the
developer releases a stable update.
