Are you sure? Doesn't Ctrl+Alt+Fx change the console? I think it still working. Never forget the editor, RHIDE and infview disables Alt+Fx but lets Ctrl+Alt+Fx enabled. BTW the Alt+Fx combination looks quite silly to me, the OS specific keys should be complex combinations to avoid collisions with applications.
