So presumably this is due to something in the Russian translation
strings.
I tried
export LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8; info
but did not get the crash, so I'm afraid there's not much I can do myself.
do you have this locale compiled with "localedef"? do you have
gettext with built-in iconv support?
I'm cc-ing Oleg who created ru.po, hopefully he can help track this
down.
I can't debug this currently, sorry -- I have Debian GNU/Linux
"broken-potato". gettext validator says PO file is Ok.
