Do @node names appear somewhere?
In @xref{Node Name}. But you can supply a second argument, @xref{Node
Name, Printed Name} to override that, so it's not crucial.
I would be happy to have the sample I sent work: use @'e with Chapters,
and é in @node (and @ref if needed).
I'll see what I can do.
